Today I will cook traditional Greek lentils (φακές). Here is the video to see how.
Do you know to cook any Greek dish?

The bouzouki

The bouzouki
(also buzuki; Greek: μπουζούκι) is a musical instrument popular in Greece that was brought there in the 1900s by Greek immigrants from Turkey, and quickly became the central instrument to the rebetiko genre and its music branches.
The instrument is played with a plectrum and has a sharp metallic sound, reminiscent of a mandolin but pitched lower.
There are two main types of bouzouki: the trichordo (three-course) has three pairs of strings (known as courses) and the tetrachordo (four-course) has four pairs of strings.

έλεος! (slang)

Καλημέρα.
Here is a new slang! Could you also form an example with that word?

παίρνω - περνάω

παίρνω and περνάω
They sound similar but they are different. Here is an example for each and and how they are formed in the three tenses. Could you form a sentence for each?

"What I know is that I know nothing"

"What I know is that I know nothing"
Socrates (470 – 399 BC)

was a classical Greek (Athenian) philosopher credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy, and as being the first moral philosopher of the Western ethical tradition of thought.
An enigmatic figure, he made no writings, and is known chiefly through the accounts of classical writers writing after his lifetime, particularly his students Plato and Xenophon.

Είμαι αλλού

A nice song for intermediate students. Here are the lyrics in english. The videoclip is awesome

I see you in front of me,wearing that dress again
the one I said it suits you
The body talks and time flows and you look at me
as if all is easy like before

But not anymore I'm not here for you,
for you to look again for an excuse
I've got no more even eyes for you
I'm gone away... away!

I'm elsewhere, in the sky's stars in the moonlight
Where you can't get anymore

And everything's cool and in a crazy course
I'm flying now, you can't reach me
I'm elsewhere...

I know baby that it is all strange for you
Everything was granted with me but forget me!
I grow wings and from the top
I see you fading away slowly

I'm gone away... away!

I'm elsewhere, in the sky's stars
in the moonlight
where you can't get anymore
and everything's cool and in a crazy course

I'm flying now, you can't reach me
I'm elsewhere...

μολὼν λαβέ

Molon labe (Ancient Greek: μολὼν λαβέ, lit. 'having come, take'), meaning "come and take [them]",

is a classical expression of defiance.
According to Plutarch, Xerxes I—king of the Achaemenid Empire—demanded that the Spartans surrender their weapons and King Leonidas I responded with this phrase.

It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase.

(Special Thanks to Lorenzo Kariere, a reality show player, who made this expression popular, after watching his footbal team scoring at an important match:) )
